About This Event

During Chester Heritage Festival, writer Clare Dudman leads a series of five workshops in historic locations. The history of the location and the people associated with it provide a springboard for writing fiction. A different aspect of creative writing will be explored each afternoon, using extracts from modern literature as examples. After each session, with the inspiration and guidance gained, participants can write their own piece, with the aim of including it in an illustrated book ready for next year’s festival.

Duttons, the venue for this fourth workshop is in Godstall Lane, which is off St Werburgh Street, opposite the Cathedral and joins the Row above the north side of Eastgate St. The afternoon will comprise a short presentation, a creative writing session and refreshments. For further details please contact Clare.

The series of workshops conclude Friday 29 June.
