About This Event
During Chester Heritage Festival, writer Clare Dudman leads a series of five workshops in historic locations. The history of the location and the people associated with it provide a springboard for writing fiction. A different aspect of creative writing will be explored each afternoon, using extracts from modern literature as examples. After each session, with the inspiration and guidance gained, participants can write their own piece, with the aim of including it in an illustrated book ready for next year’s festival.
To appreciate the title of this second workshop, The Manx Connection, look up from street level at the carvings on the front of the venue. Bishop Lloyd’s Palace, is accessed from Row level and then via a flight of stairs. The afternoon will comprise a short presentation, a creative writing session and refreshments. For further details please contact Clare.
The series continues Wednesday 27 June.
